Rusha Patel is a second year pharmacy student at Virginia Commonwealth University with a passion for global health, infectious disease, and medication safety. She holds a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University, where she concentrated in global health program design, monitoring, and evaluation. During her graduate studies, Rusha contributed to measles and rubella elimination efforts in collaboration with the World Health Organization’s Southeast Asia Region, gaining valuable experience in global health systems and international program evaluation.
Her academic and professional interests center on improving access to essential medicines, strengthening pharmaceutical supply chains, and enhancing patient and medication safety in vulnerable populations. Rusha is especially committed to advancing global vaccinology and addressing health disparities through evidence-based, sustainable interventions. She aspires to contribute to impactful global health initiatives that improve health outcomes worldwide.
